What’s the best piece of advice another bartender ever gave you?
The first person who sat me down and taught me about classic cocktails made me focus on precisely what every ingredient added to the recipe and why they were essential. When we built cocktails for the bar, we had to do the exact same thing thing to ensure every ingredient was an important element in the final cocktail. This clarity has been a great skill I’ve taken into the way I blend and craft spirits.

What kinds of ideas and approaches do you hope speakers bring to the BCB Brooklyn 2026 Education Program?
I hope our speakers bring questions along with answers. We are at a place in th industry where we must begin to imagine a new way forward utilizing scientific knowledge, historical experience, and imagination. We have to start making more room for imagination and collaboration.

What SOP upgrades most improve safety and consistency?
Our SOP’s are regarding production and the number one SOP is to utilize the PPE at ALL times.
