It’s not just the cocktail world that’s changed in the past 20 years—our larger culture has shifted, too. This session will explore the ways that bar professionals and drinks media are engaging with this cultural conversation, from issues related to racism and sexual harassment to climate change and sustainability. How are these conversations taking place in today’s bar world? What do we need to know to become more active? And how can we balance our responsibilities while becoming more engaged?
