A brief yet technical dive into the complex genesis of flavor in Scotch Whisky before it’s long journey into the dark, silent depths of a barrel. Join Ewan Morgan from Diageo Reserve as he takes the attendees through the intricate, and often, infinitesimal processes used by modern distillers to manipulate the flavor of the spirit produced.

Attendees will taste high proof ‘new make’ spirit from the cult distillery Clynelish and analyze the specific character understanding the flavors and where they come from as well as then tasting mature 14 year old spirit.

This is a fun, fast paced and interactive seminar that encourages attendees to ask questions as well as sample lab samples sent over from Scotland, responsibly of course!
